West Kootenay Local Immigration Partnership
WKLIP, newly founded non-profit, was looking to design and develop a website for their organization. I responded to their RFP, put in a proposal and we began work on September 2023.

My Role
I led the project from pitching and proposal writing to UX/UI design and hiring a senior developer to bring the project to life.
WKLIP issued an RFP for website development, and after successfully submitting a proposal, we began work in September 2023. The website needed to be accessible, easy to manage, and compliant with FOIPPA and WCAG Level AA standards.

Landscape Research
With over 200 Local Immigration Partnerships (LIPs) in Canada, WKLIP provided three reference websites they admired. We conducted an in-depth review of 10+ LIP websites to identify best practices in UX, accessibility, and content strategy.

I designed the prototype and UI system in Webflow, ensuring a seamless transition to WordPress. This approach streamlined the developer handoff, allowing for an efficient build process.
To meet WKLIP’s requirements, I hired a Senior WordPress Developer from my network to implement the final custom theme.
